One person asked for a comic book double page spread template. 

Here is an Adobe Illustrator template to download.

I think the number one reason a double page spread should be used is when you have action so awesome one page can't contain it.

Other uses include  when you have lots of information to convey, a panorama and simultaneous actions.

THE LA MOBILE ARTS FESTIVAL 2012

There's a mobile art movement?

The inaugural LA Mobile Arts Festival happened in August at Santa Monica Art Studios in Santa Monica, CA.

Almost 200 international mobile artists and 600 fine art prints, sculptures, films and environmental installations showcasing the latest in mobile art created on iPhones, iPads and other mobile platforms.

I didn't even know there was a mobile art movement. I attended and saw impressive art and photography and met and spoke with the creators as well as other great people.

I knew there were art apps,but i never had an interest in finger painting. My eyes were opened to what's possible and that there are brushes and stylus' you can use.

The art and photography were amazing. It also inspired me to try my hand at mobile art. I used a Jot Touch and ArtRage and created these on an iPad2

Here's my first creation.

Then I decided to recreate two pieces I had done recently. This Sean Connery Bond was originally done in black and white.

I drew all of these at the Festival and this was the final piece.

SDCC 2012 wrap-up

Well due to my delay in getting around to blogging about SDCC, there's no new news I can break. (The Ant-Man teaser trailer was awesome!) So here was the highpoint for me. Seeing all of the live action Batmobiles! Next year add the air vehicles, Please!
